Participants and results
Fill a field and the next one appears. Leave a result blank and that slot is paired empty.

Write in names and the drawing appears below.
Press an empty spot to place a rung yourself. Press it again to take it away.

How the pairing is decided
One vertical line stands for each person, and rungs are hung between neighboring lines. You start at the top and go down; every rung you meet takes you across to the next line, and the slot you reach at the bottom is your result.
The rungs you place and the covered ones
The top two rows and the bottom two rows are yours. Press an empty spot and a rung appears; press it again and it goes away. The middle section is covered, and the moment you press Run several rungs are placed inside it and revealed together. That is why counting your own rungs still does not tell you the result.
Changing rungs after a run
Press a spot on a revealed drawing and it goes back to a preview. The rungs you placed stay where they are, and the covered ones are laid down fresh on the next run.
Seeing the path someone took
After a run, press a name at the top and the path that person went down is marked. Press it once more and it clears.
Why rungs never touch
If two rungs met at one spot, which way you cross would be decided by drawing order rather than by a rule. So rungs are kept apart — the same rule you follow drawing this on paper. Spots directly above or below an existing rung are blocked too, because a pair like that sends you across and straight back, which does nothing at all.
Do the results lean one way
Between each pair of neighboring lines, one to five covered rungs are placed at random. The pairs take turns filling one at a time, so they do not bunch up in one section and the paths split and meet several times over.
With two people it is one to four instead. Two lines mean the result is simply whether the number of rungs is odd or even, and counting to five gives three odd cases (1, 3, 5) against two even ones (2, 4) — which tilts it. Stopping at four leaves the two results even.
Do keep in mind that this is a game of swapping places, so with few participants someone can end up back where they started. That is normal too.
How is the share link built
Share puts the names and results you wrote into the address and builds a link. Opening that link shows the same drawing and the same pairs. Names go up to 10 characters each and up to 6 people — past that the drawing gets too narrow to read the names.
The address is scrambled so the values are not readable, and changing one character stops the result from showing. That catches links garbled in transit or edited by hand. It does not confirm who ran it, or when. The names you wrote go into an address only when you build a link, and are not sent anywhere.
