The two games fill a ticket differently. Korea Lotto 6/45 draws 6 distinct numbers from 1–45 in a single pool, while Powerball draws 5 white balls from 1–69 and then a red Powerball from 1–26 in a separate draw — which is why the Powerball can repeat a white-ball number. They run on different schedules too: Korea Lotto 6/45 once a week, Saturday at 20:35 KST, and Powerball three times a week, Monday, Wednesday and Saturday at 10:59 pm ET.
The top-tier odds differ by an order of magnitude. Korea Lotto 6/45's 1st tier is 1 in 8,145,060; the Powerball jackpot is 1 in 292,201,338 — about 36 times longer. The prize ladders differ as well: 5 tiers for Korea Lotto 6/45, 9 for Powerball, so the odds of taking any Powerball prize at all are 1 in 24.87, while Korea Lotto 6/45's bottom tier (3 matches) comes up 1 in 45. All of these are fixed by the structure of each game, so they don't change with the numbers you pick.
